Flecofilm: The Pharmaceutical Film Material

Flecofilm: The Pharmaceutical Film Material

Flecofilm has been specially developed for applications in the pharmaceutical industry as well as in fine chemicals, food and cosmetics.

Depending on the application requirements, the customer can choose between the high-transparency Flecofilm ML (Mono-Layer) and the electrostatic discharging Flecofilm DL (Double-Layer).

Both film types are easy to heat seal and ensure that all product contact surfaces are made from pure polyethylene.

Our film materials are made of pharmaceutical grade polyethylene and are compliant with the following regulations:

  • P Eur. Pharmacopeia 3.1.3 und 3.1.5
  • P USP <88>, in vivo reactivity tests
  • P USP <661>, physicochemical testing

Approvals

All Flecofilm pharmaceutical films are FDA compliant and tested pursuant to:

  • Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 (on plastic materials and articles intended for food contact applications)

  • USP <661>

  • USP <87>, cytotoxicity

Certified quality

Each delivery of pharmaceutical packaging film comes with a 3.1 acceptance certificate in accordance with DIN EN 1024:2005.

In addition to the IR spectrum, we inspect the dimensions, thicknesses, seams, and antistatic properties of the materials.

Ex-zone suitability

Flecozip bags and the Flecofilm DL material from which they are made are suitable for use in explosion-prone zones 20, 21 and 22 (dusts).

These products are also suitable for use in gas explosion-prone zones 1 and 2. As long as no especially electrostatic-generating processes are taking place, this suitability includes environments in which gas or steam materials from explosion groups IIA and IIB mix with air.

Thanks to its electrostatic discharging properties, the packaging film improves the flow characteristics of the product.
