As a design engineer, you lay an important foundation for our projects by guiding the development of a product from the feasibility study through the design phase all the way to handover. Our products make our customers’ everyday lives easier. Before these products can be manufactured, their functions must be visualized and analyzed. Design engineers create solutions for various tasks and functions. At Rommelag, you’ll develop, model, and modify concepts, individual parts, and assemblies for our aseptic filling systems and create technical documents such as layouts, drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) for them. In this exciting role, you’ll be the superhero of everyday workshop life. You’ll create precision metal components by operating high-tech CNC machines. You’ll monitor the entire process and ensure that the parts you produce keep our machines and systems running smoothly. As a production mechanic, you’ll master various machining techniques—such as drilling, turning, and milling—and use them to create complex workpieces. Basic training as a production mechanic opens up many career opportunities. If you’re really good at it, you’ll have the chance to switch to the four-year polymechanic program after two years.
